INCREASING ACCESS TO COMPUTER SCIENCE AND COMPUTATIONAL THINKING IN DELAWARE K-16
Lori Pollock is Alumni Distinguished Professor in Computer and Information Sciences at the University of Delaware and ACM Distinguished Scientist. Her research is in software engineering and computer science education. Her NSF-funded Partner4CS team is helping the state of Delaware integrate CS into K-12 schools through providing teacher professional development, and she is co-leading an NSF-funded project to help meet the university?s new CT in GenEd goals and another project called WeC4Communities to provide access to CS in community centers. She was awarded the ACM SIGSOFT Influential Educator award and University of Delaware?s Excellence in Teaching Award and E.A. Trabant Award for Women?s Equity. She serves on the Executive Board of the Computing Research of Women in Computing (CRA-W) and is CoChair of the CRA-E Education Committee.
